What is ZINC ANTIMONIDE?
Chemical properties
silvery white crystal(s), 99.5% pure melted pieces of 6mm and smaller; used in thermoelectric devices and thermionic studies [HAW93] [CER91]
The Uses of ZINC ANTIMONIDE
ZnSb is an intermetallic compoiund and an electron poor (II-V) semiconductor with interesting thermoelectric properties. Its efficiency can be improved by the reduction of the thermal conductivity through nanostructuring and also doping with different elements like Pb; Sb etc.
In recent years ZnSb is also used as anode material for lithium ion batteries.
