The Uses of METHYL N-PROPYL NITROSAMINE
Methylpropylnitrosamine is used in biological studies as human liver microsomal cytochrome P-450 enzymes which are involved in the bioactivation of procarcinogens detected by umu gene response in Salmonella typhimurium TA 1535/pSK1002.
Safety Profile
Suspected carcinogen with experimental carcinogenic, neoplastigenic, and tumorigenic data. Poison by subcutaneous route. An experimental teratogen. Mutation data reported. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NOx.
