ETHIDIUM HOMODIMER is used as staining dye for ssDNA, dsDNA, RNA, oligonucleotides, and triplex DNA. It does not cross intact cell membranes and can be used to test cell viability and it is also a reagent for the fluorimetric detection of nucleic acids.
