2-Chloro-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaphospholane is an organic reagent commonly used in chemical and experimental research as a reagent for the phosphorylation of alcohols and heteroatoms for the formation of glycosyl donors and ligands, and in analytical studies of derivatised lignin samples. It is also used as a catalyst in CuO/TiO2 catalysed lignin oxidation studies.
