General Description

A slurry or sludge of yellow crystals. May take some effort to ignite but once ignited burns with great rapidity. Accelerates the burning of combustible materials. If large quantities are involved in fire or if containers of the material are exposed to fire or heat for prolonged periods, an explosion may result. Produces toxic oxides of nitrogen during combustion.

Reactivity Profile

Zirconiumpicramate,wetted with not less than 20% water,by mass is an oxidizing agent. May react vigorously with reducing materials. May be ignited by heat, sparks or flames. DRIED OUT material may explode if exposed to heat, flame, friction or shock. Treat as an explosive.

Health Hazard

Some are toxic and may be fatal if inhaled, swallowed or absorbed through skin. Contact may cause burns to skin and eyes. Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases. Runoff from fire control or dilution water may cause pollution.

Safety Profile
