Ruthenium nitrosyl chloride is an important ruthenium compounds, which is used in synthesis of more complex ruthenium compounds.
Safety Profile
Very unstable. Decomposes violently at 400°C. When heated to decomposition it emits highly toxic fumes of NOx, Clí, and RuO4.
