What is (R)-2-Phenylpyrrolidine?
Description
(R)-2-Phenylpyrrolidine is a boronic ester that can be administered orally. It has been shown to have nootropic and memory-enhancing activities in rats, but it does not have any known effects on kinase activities, amines, factor receptors, or synthetic activity.
The Uses of (R)-2-Phenylpyrrolidine
(R)-2-Phenylpyrrolidine has also been shown to have prognostic value in cancer patients and can inhibit the growth of human cancer cells. This drug has been shown to bind to tropomyosin and growth factors with high affinity.
Definition
(R)-2-Phenylpyrrolidine is a novel class of selective pan-TRK inhibitors with efficacy in a KM12 rat tumor model. Since it was reported, this moiety has become a privileged TRK structure and was incorporated effectively in closely related scaffolds and on unrelated bicycle scaffolds. Its optimal shape complementarity to the TRK protein’s hydrophobic pocket available in the “DFG-in” conformation[1].
Origin
(R)-2-phenylpyrrolidine was first reported in 2008 by Ferrand S et al.
Properties and Applications
(R)-2-Phenylpyrrolidine is a yellow crystal,it is used as a pharmaceutical intermediate.
