4,7,13,16,21-Pentaoxa-1,10-diazabicyclo[8.8.5]tricosane is a cryptand which is capable of forming complexes with metal cations. It is used to bind or trap cationic guests such as Na+, Cd2+, Zn2+ and Eu3+.
