DCG IV (cas# 147782-19-2) is a useful research chemical.DCG IV is a group-??II metabotropic glutamate (mGlu) receptor agonist. DCG-IV protected mouse cortical neurons grown in mixed cultures against excitotoxic degeneration induced by a 10 min pulse with NMDA.
Biological Activity
Presynaptic depressant; highly potent agonist for group II mGlu receptors. Also available as part of the Group II mGlu Receptor Tocriset™ and Mixed mGlu Receptor Tocriset™ .
