- Empirical Formula: BeCl2O6
- Molecular Weight: 175.914582
What is BERYLLIUM CHLORATE?
Physical properties
Beryllium Chlorate, Be(ClO3)2 has the molecular
weight of 92.4632 g/mol and is a solid having a melting
point of 1278°C and a boiling point of 2970°C. Its
density is 1.85 g/cm3 and it is insoluble in water.
It is a strong oxidizer and reacts with organic
compounds if mixed intimately. Because of its insolubility
in water, its reactivity is much lower than corresponding
soluble homologues like the magnesium or
calcium salt. Little data is available concerning its physical properties.
Beryllium chlorite is not offered for sale nor is there
a listed manufacturer of this salt. It has no CAS number.
No structural data are available.
