The Uses of 5-Methylquinoline
5-Methylquinoline is used for the synthesis of photosensitizing dyes.
Synthesis
5-Methylquinoline can be prepared by reacting m-amino-p-toluonitrile, glycerol and m-nitrobenzene sulfonate in an acidic environment.
