Ethylenebis(tetrabromophthalimide) is an additive fire retardant that is added to a polymer mixture to produce a blend. Ethylenebis(tetrabromophthalimide) is used in high impact polystyrene (HIPS), po lyethylene, polypropylene, thermoplastic polyesters, polyamide, ethylene propylene-diene terpolymers (EPDM rubbers) and other synthetic rubbers, polycarbonate, ethylene copolymers, ionomer resins, epo xies, and textile treatments.
