Description
Benfotiamine (S-benzoylthiamine-O-monophosphate) is a synthetic S-acyl derivative of thiamine (vitamin B1) characterized by higher bioavailability. Although often referred to as a lipid-soluble analogue of thiamine, benfotiamine is virtually insoluble in hydrophobic and organic solvents.
