What is VlNDOLINE?
Description
Present in Vinca rosea L., this alkaloid yields colourless crystals from Et20 and has [α]27D + 42° (CHC13). The ultraviolet spectrum consists of three absorption maxima at 212, 250 and 304 mil. The base is characterized as the hydrochloride, m.p. l6l-4°C and the O-acetate, m.p. l27-128.5°C.
