What is VINCANICINE?
Description
The empirical formula and structure of vincanicine have been established as those given above. The alkaloid forms an amorphous white powder with no definite melting point. It is laevorotatory with a specific rotation of [α]D - 439° (c 0.6, CHCI3) and forms a crystalline methiodide with m.p. 280-2°C.
