What is Victoxinine?

Description

This steroidal alkaloid obtained from Fritillaria verticillata var. Thunbergii is the ketone corresponding to Verticine. The structure based on analogy and biogenic considerations has been confirmed by an X-ray analysis of the methobromide, m.p. 287°C by the heavy atom method.
