What is VALLESINE?

Description

This alkaloid has been isolated from Vallesia dichotoma and V. glabra and has [α]²³_D - 90° ± 3° (EtOH). The structure has been shown to be N-formyl-N_x0002_deacetylaspidospermine. It should be noted that when aspidospermine was first obtained from V. glabra it was given this name.
