What is Tr-PEG3?
Description
Tr-PEG3 is a trityl ether protected PEG chain. The trityl ether can be removed under mildly acidic conditions or via hydrogenolysis. The hydrophilic PEG linker increases the water solubility of the compound in aqueous media.
Biological Activity
Tr-PEG2-OH is a PROTAC linker belonging to the PEG class. Can be used to synthesize PROTAC molecules. It is also a non-cleavable ADC linker containing 2-unit PEG, which can be used to synthesize antibody drug conjugates (ADC).
in vitro
PROTACs contain two different ligands connected by a linker; one is a ligand for an E3 ubiquitin ligase and the other is for the target protein. PROTACs exploit the intracellular ubiquitin-proteasome system to selectively degrade target proteins. ADCs are comprised of an antibody to which is attached an ADC cytotoxin through an ADC linker.
