Sodium cinnamate is a white to light yellow solid at room temperature.It is used in the manufacture of cinnamyl chloride and anticoagulant.Important intermediate of ozagrel, benzyl cinnamate, benzyl chloride,cinnamamide.
The Uses of Sodium cinnamate
Sodium cinnamate can be used to manufacture cinnamic acid, cinnamyl chloride, cinnamamide. At the same time, it is also suitable for improving the cooling system and automobile resistance pad of various engine mechanical equipment, which is beneficial to the long-distance use of automobiles.
Synthesis
The commonly used production method of sodium cinnamate is to react cinnamic acid with sodium carbonate aqueous solution, then concentrate and dry it.
