(+)-Retronecine, is a Pyrrolizidine alkaloid (PA) , which is a hepatotoxic, that is, damaging to the liver. It is also tumorigenic. It can also be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of (+)-Lycopsamine (L487525), and (E325580).
