| Description | Pyrrole-2-carboxaldehyde is used as a pharmaceutical intermediate. It undergoes condensation reaction to produce pyrrole-2-carboxaldehyde salicylhydrazone (PCSH). It is used as a key starting material for the preparation of pyrrole -2-carboxylic acid by oxidation reaction. It is also used to prepare 4-Difluoro-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene (BODIPY dyes) through condensation with a pyrrole, which is an important probes for biotechnology and other applications.
