Phenyl isocyanatoformate may be used in the synthesis of 8-(β-D-2′-deoxy-3′,5′-bis(4-toluoyloxy)ribofuranosyl)-imidazo[1,2-a]-1,3,5-triazine-2(8H),4(3H)-dione and 1,3,5-benzotriazepine-2,4-diones.
