Perfluorotripropylamine is a reagent used in the surface modification of droplet polymeric microfluidic devices. This is used to improve the stable and continueous generation of aqueous droplets.

The half-life of perfluorotripropylamine is 65 days, with excellent emulsification properties[1]. This perfluorocarbon chemical is also used in the following field：
Used as corrosion inhibitor, transmission fluid, and dielectric insulating oil for instruments.
Used as leakage detection liquid of electronic components and devices.
Used as antioxidant lubricant
Used as a cleaning agent for electronics, CD-ROM, and precision instruments.

Purification Methods

Purify it as for perfluorodimethyl-cyclopropane (see p 220). [Haszeldine J Chem Soc 102 1951, for azeotropes see Simons & Linevsky J Am Chem Soc 74 4750 1972.] IRRITANT.
