What is ORIXINONE?
Description
Also present in the roots of Orixa japonica Thunb., this base is purified by recrystallization from Et20-light petroleum when it yields clusters of colourless needles. The structure has been established on the basis of spectroscopic data as 2: 4-dimethoxy-7: 8-methylenedioxy-3-(3-methyl-2-oxobu tyl)-quinoline.
