What is O-METHYLTHALMETHINE?
Description
An alkaloid which accompanies Thalmethine (q.v.) in Thalictrum minus, this base forms colourless needles when recrystallized from C6H6. It is dextrorotatory with [α]29D~l + 237° (c 1.0, CHCI3). The ultraviolet spectrum contains two absorption maxima at 280 and 314 mil. The hydrochloride is crystalline with m.p. 198-2000 C.
