What is LITHIUM MANGANESE OXIDE?
Chemical properties
monoclinic, a=0.4921 nm, b=0.8526 nm, c=0.9606 nm; prepared by reacting LiOH and γ-ΜnΟ2 in air at 400°C for several days or at 700°C for 24h; used in battery research [ROS91] [RIO92]
Physical properties
Usually spinel phase, working voltage is 3.5~4.3 V, theoretical specific capacity is 148 mA h/g, but the actual is about 110 mA h/g, cathode density is 4.28 g/cm3, and its lithium/manganese molar ratio is 0.45 ~0.5.
The Uses of LITHIUM MANGANESE OXIDE
It is used as anode materials of high-performance lithium ion battery.
What are the applications of Application
Lithium manganese(III,IV) oxide is a material component of electrodes
Benefits
LITHIUM MANGANESE OXIDE material is considered to be one of the most promising cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries due to its good stability, good overcharge resistance, low price, environmental friendliness, and good high-current charge-discharge performance.
General Description
This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency.
Synthesis
Using manganese dioxide, manganese carbonate, manganese nitrate or manganese acetate and lithium hydroxide, lithium carbonate or lithium nitrate as raw materials, the composition and content of various materials are accurately analyzed, so that the molar ratio of lithium to manganese is in the range of 0.45 to 0.5. After the ball mill is evenly mixed, it is placed in a mold, pressed into a block shape on a hydraulic press, and placed in a high-temperature sintering furnace for sintering at a temperature of 600-800 °C.
