The Uses of LANATOSIDE B
Lanatoside B is a novel cardiac glycoside inhibitor acting on sodium-potassium ATPase in vivo.
Purification Methods
Crystallise lanatoside B from MeOH. Its solubility is: 1/20 (MeOH), 1/40 (EtOH), 1/5600 (CHCl3), and is insoluble in H2O. [Stoll et al. Helv Chim Acta 16 1049 1933, Miyatake et al. Chem Pharm Bull Jpn 5 171 1957, Beilstein 18 III/IV 2465.] It is cardiotonic.
