What is HETIDINE?

Description

An atisine alkaloid, hetidine occurs in the root extract of Aconitum heterophyllum. Crystallization from MeOH furnishes colourless needles which, in ethanolic solution, give an ultraviolet spectrum consisting of a single absorption maximum at 209 nm. The crystal structure of hetidine has been established by X-ray crystallographic methods.
