Chemical properties
White crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, from the whole plant of Labiatae, Rabdosia japonica, Rubescens.
The Uses of glaucocalyxin A
Glaucocalyxin A has the effect of anti-platelet aggregation and inhibits cancer cells.
Biological Activity
Glaucocalyxin A is an enantiomeric lauryl diterpene from Rabdosia japonica var. It inhibits the nuclear translocation of GLI1 by regulating the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, thereby inducing apoptosis in osteosarcoma. Glaucocalyxin A has antitumor effect.
