What is Fmoc-NMe-PEG4-NHS ester?
Description
Fmoc-N-methyl-PEG4-NHS ester is a PEG linker containing an Fmoc-protected amine and an NHS ester. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases the water solubility of a compound in aqueous media. The Fmoc protecting group can be removed under basic condition to obtain the free amine which can be used for further conjugations. The NHS ester can be used to label the primary amines (-NH2) of proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides, and other amine-containing molecules.
