What is FEMA 2062?
Chemical properties
α-Amylcinnamaldehyde dimethyl acetal has a floral note reminiscent of jasmine.
Chemical properties
Almost colorless slightly oily liquid, A yellouish tint or color usually indicates a significant content of the free aldehyde (ACA). Sp.Gr. 0.94. B.P. approx. 300℃. Almost insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol and perfume materials. Peculiar animal-green odor, mild and reminiscent of parts of the Jasmin complex, although not very floral unless composed with related Jasmin chemicals. The odor is strongly influenced by the presence of even minute amounts of free aldehyde.
The Uses of FEMA 2062
a-Amylcinnamaldehyde Dimethyl Acetal can be useful in the study of screening criteria for long-range transport potential of organic substances in water.
