Ethyl Citronellate is a colorless liquid. Almost insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol and oils.
The Uses of ETHYL CITRONELLATE
Ethyl Citronellate is ven rarely offered commercially and has, in the author's opinion, little mwe than academic interest. It is too expensive for what it has to offer, but it may occasionally find its way into various artificial essential oils.
Preparation
Ethyl Citronellate is produced by esterification of Ethanol with Citroncllic acid.
