What is DOPEXAMINE?
Description
Dopexamine is a dopamine analog useful in the treatment of acute congestive heart failure. Its biochemical actions include the stimulation of beta2 and peripheral dopamine receptors, as well as the inhibition of neuronal uptake of norepinephrine. The resultant effect is an increase in cardiac output mediated by afterload reduction, increased blood flow and positive inotropism following iv infusion.
