What is Bismuth Lactate?
Synthesis
A method of producing bismuth lactate by adding bismuth oxide Bi2O3 to a solution of lactic acid with its slight excess and boiling under reflux for 4.5 hours, followed by filtering the solution, its crystallization by evaporation at 100 °C, cooling the resulting solution, separating the precipitated product crystals by filtration, washing the product with acetone and ether, followed by drying the product in air.
