What is Amino-PEG36-acid?
Description
Amino-PEG24-acid is a PEG derivative containing an amino group with a terminal carboxylic acid. The amino group is reactive with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters, carbonyls (ketone, aldehyde) etc. The terminal carboxylic acid can be reacted with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or DCC) to form a stable amide bond.
General Description
Amino-dPEG?12-acid is a novel amino acid that can be manipulated, modified, and used like most other amino acids. The single molecular weight dPEG? spacer arms between the terminal amine and the terminal carboxylic acid are of exact length (46.5 ?), allowing for precise spatial control, and they are hydrophilic and non-immunogenic, imparting greater water solubility and hydrodynamic volume to target molecules.
