Description
Research results in recent years have shown that sumac extract has a significant inhibitory effect on a variety of tumor cells. Protosappanin B is one of the main components in hematoxylin. It has inhibitory effect on the proliferation of both BTT and T24 cells, and as Protosappanin B acts on each cell for a longer period of time, its killing effect is gradually enhanced, showing a time-dependence.
Chemical properties
Soluble in methanol, DMSO, insoluble in petroleum ether and other solvents.
Biological Activity
Protosappanin B is a polyphenol extracted from hematoxylin and has anti-tumor effects. In human bladder cancer cells, it can arrest the G1 phase of the cell cycle and induce apoptosis.
