Preparation
Preparation by reaction of ethylmagnesium bromide,
with m-methoxybenzonitrile (m.p. 60°)
with 3-methoxybenzaldehyde and oxidation of the resulting 1-(3-methoxyphenyl)-1-propanol with sodium dichromate in sulfuric acid (70%).
