3-Bromo-7-hydroxy-1-naphthonitrile, also known as DBrN, is a heterocyclic compound of naphthoxazole. The molecule has a naphthalene ring system fused to the oxazole ring and nitrile group at position 1.
Chemical properties
3-Bromo-7-hydroxy-1-naphthonitrile is a yellow solid with a melting point of 275°C and a boiling point of 416°C. It is soluble in most organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, acetone and chloroform.
