Safety Profile

Poison by ingestion. Irritating to eyes. A flammable liquid when exposed to heat, flame, or oxidizers. To fight fire, use foam, alcohol foam. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of SOx.

Potential Exposure

A mercaptan, sulfhydral, thioalcohol, and organic sulfide. Used as a lubricant additive and in polymer modification.

Highly flammable; easily ignited by heat, sparks, or flames. Vapors may form explosive mixture with air.
