The Uses of 2-(METHYLTHIO)-ADENOSINE 5'-TRIHYDROGEN DIPHOSPHATE TRISODIUM
2-Methylthio-ADP trisodium salt is a P2Y1, P2Y12 and P2Y13 agonist. It is used in biological study of activation of P2Y1 P2Y12 and P2Y13 protein promoted purinergic ATP signal transduction mediated calcium flux in podocyte isolated from rat glomerulus.
Biological Activity
Potent purinergic agonist displaying selectivity for P2Y 1 , P2Y 12 and P2Y 13 receptors (pEC 50 = 8.29 and 9.05 for P2Y 1 and P2Y 12 , EC 50 = 19 nM for P2Y 13 ). Induces aggregation of, and inhibits cAMP accumulation in, platelets in vitro .
