The Uses of 2-Amino-5-bromopyridine

2-Amino-5-bromopyridine is used for the synthesis of polycyclic azaarenes.

What are the applications of Application

2-Amino-5-bromopyridine is available:
(1) Spectroscopic studies, vibrational spectroscopy, coordination and ortho analysis of 2-Amino-5-bromopyridine.
(2) As an organic synthesis reagent for the preparation of β-d-glucopyranosamine, β-d-galactopyranosamine compounds and polycyclic azulene compounds.
(3) The electrochemical reduction behaviour of 2-amino-5-bromopyridine in BMIMBF4 was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, and the reduction peak was -1.6 V (for Ag). Under the optimised conditions, 6-aminonicotinic acid was obtained in 75% yield and 100% selectivity. In addition, the ionic liquid was successfully recovered.
