TPE-MB is an intermediate of aggregation-induced emission (AIE) material used in the synthesis of blue mitochondrial dyes for bio-imaging. TPE-MB may be used in the preparation of aggregation induced emission (AIE) probes for the fluorescence detection of mercury(II) and glutathione.
