1-Hydroxy-1-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-2-propanone is an intermediate of metaraminol bitartrate.
Synthesis
1-Hydroxy-1-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-2-propanone is prepared by addition of m-hydroxybenzaldehyde and acetaldehyde under the catalysis of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
