PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
description
Indolmycin is a member of the class of 1,3-oxazoles that is 1,3-oxazol-4(5H)-one which is substituted at the 2 and 5-pro-S positions by methylamino and [(1R)-1-(1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl] groups, respectively. It has a role as an antimicrobial agent, an EC 6.1.1.2 (tryptophan--tRNA ligase) inhibitor, an antibacterial agent and a bacterial metabolite. It is a member of 1,3-oxazoles, a secondary amino compound and a member of indoles. It is a conjugate base of an indolmycin(1+).
