Application
Benzyl Chloride is widely used as an intermediate for manufacturing organic compounds It is used in fuel as a gum inhibitor. Its oxidation reaction with an alkali produces benzaldehyde. alpha-Chlorinated toluenes are used in the end applications of perfumery, dyes, pharmaceuticals, synthetic resins, photographic chemicals, warfare chemicals, penicillins, quaternary ammonium compounds, plasticizer and esters.
