Property description: yellow acicular crystal. Melting point 106℃, boiling point 293-295℃, 195-200℃ (2kPa). Soluble in hot water, soluble in alcohol, ether, dilute hydrochloric acid and dilute sulfuric acid, slightly soluble in benzene, cold water. It has a very pleasant smell.
Application
An intermediate in medicine for asthma and cough. It is also used for the determination of palladium and vitamin B1.
