It is miscible with water, alcohol, ether, chloroform, benzene, ethyl acetate and carbon disulfide, but hardly soluble in petroleum ether.
Uses:
Organic synthesis intermediates, mainly used as solvents for synthetic resins, pesticides, polyols, inks and iodine.
