Azelaic acid nature:
Azelaic acid is a kind of skin disease prevention and treatment drugs, mainly used for the treatment of acne, chloasma and skin melanin deposition. It is also an important intermediate in organic synthesis. It is used to synthesize plasticizers in plastics, rubber and other industries, to synthesize low temperature and high speed lubricating oil in aviation oil, and to manufacture electrolytic capacitors. Preparation of azelaic acid from unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid and triglycerides such as castor oil and cottonseed oil is the main production method at present.
Azelaic acid application:
Most of the azelaic acid is used in the production of dioctyl azelaic acid (doz) plasticizer, other uses are used as perfume, lubricating oil, oil agent, polyamide resin raw materials. Doz is used as cold resistant plasticizer for cable, film, artificial leather, etc., with low volatility and good aging resistance. Doz can also be used as a softener for synthetic rubber. Azelaic acid used in doz production in Japan accounts for about 70% of the total consumption of azelaic acid. Azelaic acid can be dehydrated by ammonia to produce nononitrile.
