Anticancer Research
The essential oil of W. chinensis was tested on male C57BL/6 mice injected withB16F-10 melanoma cells. There was an increase in the number of apoptotic cells inthe essential oil treated group. The essential oil suppresses even the tumor-directedangiogenesis. It has shown an increase in the levels of p53 and caspase-3 (Manjamalaiand Grace 2013).
