What is UV-VIS LIGHT CURABLE RESIN?

The Uses of UV-VIS LIGHT CURABLE RESIN

  • Cures rapidly to form a glassy high modulus, optically clear material.
  • Excellent for use in protective coatings, optical and outdoor applications.
  • Non yellowing.
  • Low oxygen inhibition.
  • Mechanical Properties after curing:
Modulus*: 1300 MPa
Strength*: 40 MPa
Elongation*: 6%
Pencil Hardenss: 6H
Tack Free**: 80+

*Test Resources: tensile tester, 35 mm gauge length, 1.0 mm thickness, 6.5 mm width.
** Cured under stated intensity. Medium pressure mercury bulb with 320-500 nm filter. Adhesion tests were conducted using a cross hatch tape test on films 0.125 mm thick on glass and PET. Material data using ASTM D 638-02a.

The Uses of UV-VIS LIGHT CURABLE RESIN

UV curable very low viscosity resin:

  • Cures rapidly to form a glassy, high modulus material.
  • Excellent for use in applications requiring low viscosity, high hardness, and low shrinkage stress.
  • Good for some spray coatings requiring no volatile organic compounds (VOCS).
  • Non-yellowing.
  • Low oxygen inhibition.
  • Mechanical properties after curing:
Modulus*: 750 MPa
Strength*: 20 MPa
Elongation*: 11%
Pencil Hardness: 6H
Tack free**: 35

General Description

Storage:

  • The storage temperature should not exceed 35°C.
  • Keep tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area.
  • Do not expose to ultraviolet light.
  • High temperatures (>80°C), pressure and contamination with peroxides may result in auto-polymerization of the product.
  • Unstable upon depletion of inhibitor.
